The Regathering of Israel
God will gather His scattered people from all nations.
The prophets repeatedly promise the regathering of Israel from every nation back to the land — partly fulfilled in the return from Babylon, and again echoed in the modern return, awaiting full spiritual restoration in Christ.
The Prophecy
"...the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people...And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel..."
"...The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them..."
Two regatherings
Isaiah says God's hand will recover His people 'the second time' — pointing beyond the return from Babylon to a wider gathering before the consummation.
